In dreams and in love there are no impossibilities." --Janos Arnay
So nice to have an older daughter who can baby-sit . . . Chris & I snuck away for a couple of hours today. Had lunch (just the 2 of us!) at the Cheesecake Factory, did a little clothes shopping and whoopeee! Bought a new temperpedic mattress (after our incredible Snickers cheesecake desert, testing out all those mattresses was very relaxing!).
Anyway, today's quote of the day and our conversations at lunch has had me doing a little soul searching (I'm sure my impending 40th b-day had something to do w/ it, too!). Starting thinking about where I've been . . . mentally and geographically. Where I'm going . . . mentally and geographically. All I can say is I'm in a pretty good place right now . . . mentally and geographically. There are a few places I'd like to go . . . I'd like to go to church more often, I'd like to visit Australia and ride a gondola in Venice, Italy. I'd like to be so completely exhausted at the end of each day that I sleep like a rock. I'd like to exercise more. I'd like to grow old and cranky with Chris. I hope to be there for my children whenever they need me. I'd like to bake cookies with my grandchildren. I'd like mine & Taylor's trip to Europe next spring to be the stuff dreams are made of. I'd like to take Kendall horseback riding in the surf in Jamaica. I'd like to start writing in a journal (this blog may be as close as I get). I'm looking foward to seeing what type of women my 2 girls grow up to be.
So, those are my random thoughts for today. Kind of like a mid-year New Year's resolution check-up. Have a great Sunday night . . . Monday morning will be here before you know it.
