"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." -- Erma Bombeck
"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." -- Thomas Paine
"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave." -- Elmer Davis
Nice 4th of July so far. Chris made KJ & I bacon and eggs for breakfast (T spent the night @ the twins' house). Chris has done some yard work, I've gotten a few things done in the house. Think we might go to Homewood for the fireworks tonight. Honestly, I'd like to just curl up on the couch w/ a good book.
Watched Juno last night; cute movie. T saw Hancock the other night w/ Will Smith and said it was good; unusual, different, but good. Chris & T really want to see Wall-E. KJ & I want to see Kit Kitteredge instead.
