Today I have to cover Kendall's class for an hour or so while Mrs. Sunday attends a meeting. Should be fun; I haven't been in Kendall's class yet this year. She's got some sweet kids in her class. I still can't believe she's in 2nd grade! She has a lot of homework this year . . . she has to read each night, she has math homework, and she has spelling words. Beecause she scored a 100 last week on her spelling test, this week she got to make up her own words. You can tell she's got vacations on her mind because her words were: Ohio (hmmm), aquarium, Braves (our trip to Atlanta this summer), museum, history (get it? Museum of Natural History??), passport, turtle, elephant (I'm thinking she's thinking "zoo"), macaroni (must be thinking of Grandma JoJo's cooking). Tonight we have cheerleading practice and our first "official" game this Saturday. We had a Jamboree last Saturday but so many people were away for Labor Day weekend we only had 6 girls cheer and my friend Jo coached the girls while I was away.
I have a MOUNTAIN of laundry to tackle to today. Seriously, it's all piled up on the couch so I can catch up on my TiVo while I fold towels and underwear. Lucky me.
Please keep my dad in your thoughts; his surgery is scheduled for Monday morning. I'm not even going to attempt to spell it but the artery in his neck is a bit clogged.

hi. i will for sure keep your dad in my prayers. i'm sure he'll be fine but it is always scary to have a loved one go into the hospital. i'm so sleepy i'm off to take a nap before everyone gets home. then i have the joy of driving to clay/chalkville. blah! why do we have to go there?
