#HappiesAndCrappies

So excited to be doing #HappiesAndCrappies! I was looking through some old blog posts and re-read a couple of #ItsOKThursday posts and wondered if Amber over at www.brunchwithamber.com had any new link-ups. She's got such a great blog and I was so happy to see #HappiesAndCrappies!  I can totally do this and I love linking-up with other bloggers! So here goes . . .
The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up

 Happies

- So excited to see some family this weekend!  I'm driving up to my brother's for the weekend and my niece and I are attending my cousin's bridal shower.  KJ has vball try-outs this weekend so she can't make the trip and my sister-in-law is in charge of an event at her church so it's just gonna be me and Little Miss C.  And we're gonna dance in the car.  She likes to sing along to KC + the Sunshine Gang.  She walks around the house singing this little ditty:

- We booked T's flight home for Christmas!!!  Happy Happy Happy!!!

- Sophia Grace and Rosie were on #Ellen this week!

- I've started my Christmas shopping.

 Crappies

- I don't know if I've got eczema or just extremely dry skin but holy cow!  My legs and back are horribly itchy and no amount of lotion is helping.  I can't even wear socks I'm so uncomfortable/miserable.

- I ran out of ginger ales this afternoon.

Question . . .

. . . does anyone use a Blog Planner?  I've seen several other bloggers mention them or give them away as prizes but I really don't know how to use one.  Are Blog Planners more for people who have a niche blog or a topic specific blog (i.e, crafts or fashion?  meal planning/recipes??)?

I've also seen several links for free printables (see below).  I am by no means what I would call a creative person (maybe artistic is the word I'm looking for?) but I do tend to blog on the fly.  If somethings pops into my head, I write about it.  Which explans why my blog is such a hodge-podge.
I just can't picture myself planning my blog weeks or months in advance.  However, I do sometimes find myself forgetting to link-up and miss out on the fun!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK to use the "schedule" feature on Blogger.  At first I was totally against it because I thought it was cheating but now I love it!
It's OK that I strayed and was unfaithful.  To my favorite nail polish color (OPI's Cajun Shrimp).  This week's pedicure color:  Essie's A Splash of Grenadine.  Kind of violet, pinky, purple-y, deep lilac.  I don't know how I feel about it.  It's kind of Easter-y, Springy, not really Summery.  Totally out of the box for me.

It's OK that I barely watch the news or read a paper anymore.  Too depressing.

It's OK to sometimes want to eat lunch by myself.  I love my co-workers but sometimes I just need time to think and to breathe and to be outside soaking up some sun!

Munchkinland

A great big HUGE thank you to Munchkinland Designs for my new look! Jen was an absolute pleasure to work with and I am SO happy with the finished project! I had always been unhappy with the look of my blog and felt that it was not a good representation of who I am as a blogger. And, I'll admit, I had blogger envy. I admired other people's blogs from afar and was always amazed at their creativity. After coveting other folks blog designs, I decided to take the plunge and reach out to Jen. I liked the looks of some of her other work and decided she was the gal for me. Now I have a blog I am super duper happy with and extremely proud of!

Please check out Jen's website and update your blog as soon as you can! The world will be such a happier place if we all have pretty blogs! http://www.munchkinland-designs.com/

Bloggity Blog Blog

I love to blog. I really do. I like Twitter and Facebook, I like Goodreads, Pinterest, Get Glue and Foursquare, too but I always seem to come back to blogger.

I started the blog as a daily journal, a way to communicate w/ my out of town family and friends and just try to make sense of it all. I don't write about anything specific, I don't post recipes, I don't exclusively write about fashion or home decor. I don't blog about diet or exercise. Cosmo & I aren't newlyweds any more so we're not planning our wedding or in that "honeymoon" phase, my "babies" aren't little any more so I'm kind out of the "mommy" loop, too. I just blog about whatever pops into my head. Which can sometimes be scary. I like to check out other people's blogs. I like to see how other folks live (particularly those in other cities/countries), I like to see that I'm not the only one who's husband / kids / whatever get on their nerves. I also love to look at crafty blogs. I am the least crafty person I know and I'm always amazed at the talent of some people. I also like looking at the design and layout of different blogs...some people so put so much time and effort into their blog and it shows! I always feel like mine is a total hodge-podge!
