It's OK Thursday

Link up with http://www.brunchwithamber.com/ for the very last It's OK Thursday.
I have had so much fun posting "It's OK" and I thank Amber and Neely for this wonderful opportunity!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK . . .

...that I have absolutely zero plans for the weekend other than laying at the pool with an adult bevvie and my Nook.
...to be extremely proud of the sweet high school kids I work with.  Congratulations on your graduation!
...to be extremely proud of my girls.  T is really enjoying her internship with Rick and Bubba and KJ is just so happy to be a rising 8th grader and is looking forward to volleyball season.
...that the 13 year old has a better social life than me and is breaking the bank.
...that I really like Mariah Carey's new song "Beautiful."
...that I've been walking around with a Flat Stanley in my purse for over a week now.

It's OK Thursday

Wow!  Thursday already??  Awesome!  This week went by super fast (and I'm not complaining!).  If you haven't already, link up for It's OK Thursdays!

Its Ok Thursdays

...It's OK Coach is going to the Rangers vs. Capitals hockey game tonight.  He's been a life-long Rangers fan and and I remember how he used to take T to the games whenever they played the Caps at the crappy Landover arena.  She'd sit on his lap and eat popcorn the entire time.
...It's OK that I had to have some additional mammograms/tests this week.  Everything turned out fine but my heart definately skipped a couple of beats when I got the phone call asking me to please come back into the office for further testing.
...It's OK that T probably won't be working with me at the hotel this summer.  She's got an awesome, awesome, awesome internship!
...It's OK that I enjoy a good mozarella, pull-apart, string cheese stick every now and then.
...It's OK that I had a weird, strange craving for wedding cake today.
...It's OK that as much as I love shoes, I'd much rather be barefoot or in flip-flops!
...It's OK that KJ has made me watch Full House 4 or 5 nights in a row.  That Uncle Jesse sure is cute!
...It's OK that I wore Yoga Pants out in person when I swore I would NEVER EVER be "that" person.  I picked KJ up from vball try-outs and we were going to drive thru Zaxby's so I wouldn't have to get out of the car in my yoga pants but on the way a friend called and asked us to meet them for dinner.  The 13 year old said I didn't look "too" bad so I guess that's a compliment in a weird sort of way.   At least she didn't say, "OMG You're NOT wearing THAT are you?" or "OMG You are embarrassing me!!!"

It's OK Thursday

...It's OK that my parents arrive tomorrow and I have no idea if there are clean sheets on the guest bed.

...It's OK that I bought a bunch of books for my Nook.  Now I just need to buy some time to read them.

...It's OK that I don't care about the Jodi Arias case and wish Nancy Grace would just zip it once in a while.

...It's OK to covet thy husband's side of the bed.

...It's OK that one of the girls I work with secretly judges me by the car I drive, my clothes and my accessories.  I'm 20 years older than her and have worked hard for everything I have.  Judge away.

...It's OK to really, really dislike small-minded / closed-minded people (please refer to previous post).

...It's OK to have an issue with ignorant people (please refer to previous post).  If you are unfamiliar with something, look it up!  Or better yet, ask questions!  Don't verbally attack it, don't put it down, don't make stupid comments, don't make faces.  Educate yourself!

...It's OK to be nervous for daughter #2's middle school volleyball try-outs next week.

...It's OK to wear socks to bed.

...It's OK to not be able to pass up a Lord of the Rings marathon whenever it's on TV.

It's OK Thursday ~

Its Ok Thursdays

...It's OK to want to tune out sometimes -- no phone, no computer, no Facebook, no Twitter.  Sometimes the news is just too depressing and I really hate shows were people are being out-right mean to each other (i.e., that damn Abby Lee on Dance Moms).
...It's OK that I didn't wear a bra to work the other day and no one noticed (I wore a cami with a built in bra under a shirt).
...It's OK that my daughter texted me the other day and said, "Mom!!!  I had a dream last night that you got a tattoo!!"  (I didn't).
...It's OK to leave work early for a mammogram.  Got to take care of the boobs.
...It's OK that I just pre-ordered a bunch of books for my Nook (Sopie Kinsella's latest, Dan Brown's new one and Edward Rutherford's "Paris").
...It's OK that I have Journey's Greatest Hits on serious rotation in my car (such a fun CD to listen to with the sun roof open!).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greatest_Hits_(Journey_album)
...It's also OK that I have Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits in my car.  Don't judge.

It's OK Thursday

It's OK . . .

Its Ok Thursdays

...I didn't like Zero Dark Thirty and fell asleep on the couch with less than 10 minutes to go.

...that I can't wait for my kids to get out of school for the summer.  I love having everyone home and I love the casualness of the summer.

...that my car is completely covered in pollen.  Hopefully the big storm rolling through today will wash it all away.

...that I luv, luv, luv the frames I bought for over the fireplace for our family photos but I strongly dislike (OK, hate is a better word) the paint color I chose to accent the wall for said family photos.  Hubby doesn't know it yet but it's a total re-do.

...that I'm thinking of switching the girl's rooms around this summer and giving KJ the bigger bedroom (T's away at college; she doesn't need it, right???).  Unfortunately, T is unaware of my plans.  Oh!  And hubby doesn't know it yet either.

...to enjoy Man Candy Mondays.  I'm married.  Not dead..

...that I've been thinking about using #ImTheShit and #YOLO as part my signature line for my work e-mails in honor of a co-worker who really does think #ShesTheShit and really does walk around the office using stupid phrases like #YOLO

...to not be particularly excited about next week's mammogram.

It's OK Thursday !!!

Its Ok Thursdays
...to be footloose and fancy free this week!  KJ is at the beach w/ friends for Spring Break so Coach and I have been enjoying date week!
...to have my 13-year old tell me that driving in the car with me is like being in a music video -- sunroof open, music blaring, cruising down the highway.
...that I will not be cooking for Easter!  Whoop!  Whoop!  Having brunch with friends!
...that I work with a total and complete Debbie Downer.  Her problem.  Not mine.  I refuse to allow her negativity to bring me down and have started to avoid her at all costs.
..that Coach and I watched Rock of Ages the other night and I knew the words to every song.

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

...that I never got that shamrock shake!
...that I'm not participating in the office basketball bracket.  Just not that into it this year.
...that last night was the first night in a long, long, long time I had cooked dinner (bourbon chicken and it was delicious!).
...that my toes ae not spring break ready (but they will be by this weekend! -- cajun shrimp here we come!).
...that I like to play little tricks/practical jokes on my co-workers; no one ever suspects it's me!
...to be slightly obsessed with the History Channel's "Vikings."  Slightly

It's OK Thursday

...to be really craving a Shamrock Shake
...that other than the Shamrock Shake, I don't really care much about St. Patrick's Day
...to wish that Justin Timberlake hosted SNL at least once a month.  At least.
...that Daylight Saving Time is kicking my butt this week.  I'll catch up.  Eventually.
...that I watched a bunch of Harlem Shake videos on YouTube last night.
...that daughter #2 informed me that she needs some new school supplies.  It's mid-March.  Seriously?

It's OK Thursday

It's OK . . .

...it's OK that I bought 3 beach towels this week.  I have Spring Break on the brain.  Can't help it.
...it's OK that I was very excited to watch the Duck Dynasty season premiere last night.
...it's OK to know that Justin Bieber's birthday is tomorrow.
...it's OK that I've worn black three days in a row this week.
...it's OK that I am probably one of the few women on earth who have absolutely no desire to see "Les Miserables."  Especially after that Oscar performance.
...it's OK that I still don't care about the Bachelor and his virginity.
...it's OK that I am looking forward to the possibility of snow this weekend.
...it's OK that I am looking forward to cleaning out my closet this weekend.  Got to make room for my Spring wardrobe purchases!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK . . .

...to be sarcastic.
...that no one in my family knows how to replace a roll of toilet paper or load the dishwasher.
...that I am completely bored with my current wardrobe.  Spring shopping spree!
...to not "get" the Harlem Shake videos.

It's OK Thursday (Valentine's Day Edition)

...It's OK that KJ opened her Valentine's Day Gifts last night.  She needed to pack some of them for her DC trip.
...It's OK that I received a Justin Beiber Valentine's Day card from a co-worker.  It has a cool "I Heart Justin" tattoo!
...It's OK that I forgot to mail my niece and nephew's cards (I'm lying.  It's really not OK).
...It's OK that Cosmo's and KJ's cards are sitting on the counter.  Not filled out yet.
...It's OK that I obviously have become really bad and giving cards.  I buy them, just forget to mail them or give them.
...It's OK I had to text T and ask her what the heck was a Harlem Shake.
...It's OK that I bought the Alabama Shakes CD and the Florence + the Machine CD.  More than OK.  Both are great albums!
...It's OK to still use the word "album" isn't it???
...It's OK that I am now officially hooked on Duck Dynasty.
...It's OK that I've lived in the South for 14 years and am slooooowwwwllllly beginning to accept some things Southern -- I find myself using the phrase "Bless her Heart" more and more, I like Duck Dynasty, the show "Nashville" (and the soundtrack!) and the other night I had a dream that Blake Shelton (no Miranda in sight) was sitting across the table from me at a friends wedding.
...It's OK that I will never like Sweet Tea.  I just can't.  When I drink it, I can just feel my teeth rotting out of my head.

It's OK Thursday . . .

Its Ok Thursdays

...I didn't win Associate of the Month for the FOURTH time.  It's an honor to be nominated, blah, blah, blah.  Someday that primo parking spot will be mine.  But seriously, I do work with some pretty amazing folks and am proud to be part of such a great team!  I truly love my job!

...that last weekend was NOT a good football weekend in our house -- Alabama lost, Ole Miss lost and Navy lost.  But, on the upside, we got to see Brye play and spent a beautiful, fun day @ Troy University.

...that I'm obsessed with the History Channel's "The Men Who Built America."  Some good stuff right there.  I should have been a history teacher.  Totally missed my calling.

...that some crazy-ass lady in a big white Infinity QX56 refused to let me merge into the lane this morning on the way to work.  Not only did she speed up and not let me merge, she was texting the entire time and she tailgated the car in front of her SO bad for miles and miles.  Hope she got to her destination OK.  She was obviously much more important than anyone else on the road this morning.

...that I've been standing out on the lacrosse field 3 nights this week.  WTH?  I don't have any kids that play in the state of Alabama.  It's like the damn mafia, they suck me back in.

...that I started my Christmas Shopping but haven't made a dent.  Looks like everyone's getting an Old Navy gift card!  hahahahaha!

Oh!!  And don't forget to Blog Hop --

...to be grateful that my family in NY and NJ are all safe and sound.
...that my candidate didn't win.  We will just stay positive and pray for change.
...that I broke down and bought TSwift's new CD "Red."  Hey!  It was a long car trip.  Don't judge!
...that it's getting colder.  It's November!  It's supposed to be colder!
...that it's November!  Yay!  Sweater, Scarves and Boots weather!!

It's OK !!!

Its Ok Thursdays

. . . to have been a total slacker as far as "It's OK Thursdays."
...to still not have all of my Halloween decorations up.
...to be obsessed with Law & Order SVU and Criminal Intent lately.
...to be super duper excited to see my girl in an Ole Miss lax uniform!
...that my feet hurt.  I like high heels.  What can I say?
...that Emily and Jef with One F broke up.  Still a shocker nonetheless.  No one saw that coming.
...that Uma Thurman named her baby Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson (better known to family and friends as Luna)
...that my invite to Jess & Justin's wedding got lost in the mail.  I'm busy this weekend anyway.
...that I take off my jewelry and my bra the minute I walk in the door.
...that I cleaned out the fridge last night and it looks like Old Mother Hubbard's.

It's OK Thursday !!!

It's OK . . .

...that we had Taco Tuesday on Wednesday
...it's MORE than OK that my Fantasy Football team kicked major butt this week!  Thank you Reggie Bush!
...to have friends with different political views than you.  It's hard to have conversations some times, but it's OK.
...to not care who the new judges are on "American Idol" or "The Voice."
...to be insanely excited to start reading Ken Follett's new book in the Century Trilogy, "Winter of the World."

It's OK Thursday

It's OK . . .

Its Ok Thursdays

...that my Fantasy Football Team sucked wind this week.
...to be anxiously awaiting the new Ken Follett novel.
...that I still don't like Taylor Swift but I do find "We are Never, Ever Getting Back Together" very catchy.
...to not like anything Pumpkin flavored (which is really weird because Fall is my very favorite season!).

It's OK Thursday

It's OK . . .
Its Ok Thursdays

...to be excited about tonight's Fantasy Football draft!  Whoop!  Whoop!
...to be dreaming of Fall sweaters and boots and bonfires.
...to be excited about the changes at work.  It's all Good!
...that I'm in between sizes.  Current size pants is waaaayyy too big, size down fits good everywhere else but is a little snug in the waist.  Do they make half-sizes for short, curvy adults?
...to wish there was something good to watch on Sunday nights.  Falling Skies is over for the season and so is The Newsroom.
...to totally hate this season of RHONY.  Ramona annoys the crap out of me and is horribly crass, Sonja is way too old to be acting like a sex-starved teenager and Aviva has so many issues.  Heather is unlikable but I do like Carol and the Countess.

It's OK Thursday!

It's OK . . .
Its Ok Thursdays

...to love this rain.  I mean, I REALLY love this rain!
...that I just can't seem to get into the book I'm reading.  That has only ever happened to me once before.  Didn't enjoy reading "Wicked" at all (but loved the musical!).
