Two Days

Kind of hit the blogging wall for a while there but now I'm back and have blogged Two-Days-In-A-Row!!!  Go Me!

KJ goes back to school in 3 weeks and volleyball try-outs are the week before that.  She's been complaining for a couple of days about an ear ache so yesterday we killed two birds with one stone and had her ear checked out and did her sports physical.  She didn't have an infection, just a little fluid in her ear and she is just shy of 5 ft., 5 inches (a good 5 to 6 inches over me).

We had a nice weekend in PA.  We drove up late Friday afternoon and stopped at a Mexican restaurant in Gettysburg that had a nice patio area since we had the dog with us.  Saturday Coach helped out with Mr. B's lax clinic and my mom picked up C and brought her back to the house.  She brushed mine and KJ's hair, we had lunch on the front porch and KJ drove her around the property on the four-wheeler.  Let's just say that girl is busy, busy, busy!  Later that afternoon several girls from down the road came to the house and took KJ out on some of the back trails.  She got the four-wheeler stuck and had to call Pop to come and get her out of the ditch!  Coach brought Mr. B back to the house and we watched a bunch of videos from when KJ was a baby.  That night we also had s'mores by the camp fire.  Sunday all of us ladies (me, KJ, my mom, my SIL and Aunt Linda) went to Stephanie's shower at the cabin.  Unfortunately it rained the entire time but we still managed to have fun and she received some beautiful gifts!

Chicks in the Nest

Yay!  All the chicks are back in the nest!  Cosmo had been in Knoxville and Nashville last week so we got her on a flight from BWI to Huntsville yesterday and he picked her up at the airport.  Her flight was very, very early and I think she panicked for a minute when she got off the plane and didn't see Cosmo standing at the gate.  He had gotten hung up in security but she stayed on the phone with me until she saw him walking towards her.  Love knowing that my kids are somewhat independent and can handle themselves in any situation!

Apparently my sweet, sweet little nephew was very worried about KJ flying by herself.  He was fine when they said good-bye to her at the gate but as they watched her plane pull away he got very upset and cried.  He said he didn't like her flying by herself and he missed her already.  He left her a message on her her cell phone and said, "Call me the MINUTE you land!!!"  So cute!

We had such a nice night listening to her stories from her 2 week visit in PA w/ the fam.  The weather wasn't great so she didn't do any swimming and no horseback riding this trip (my cousin Jessica is taking summer classes and staying on campus).  But, KJ spent a lot of time w/ my niece and nephew, got to spend some time w/ her cousin John (they are 8 weeks apart), she rode the four-wheeler (a lot), went to Knoebels, went to one of Mr. B's baseball games, went to Miss C's pre-school graduation, made jam w/ my sister-in-law, went to John's lax tournament and Aunt Linda took her to dinner one night. Just some good ol' fashioned family fun time.

So Much

Whew! Had so much going on the last couple of weeks and now I'm gearing up for our upcoming anniversary/birthday extravaganza!

KJ & I had a WONDERFUL time in PA for A&Z's wedding. Although the weather did not cooperate at all, I have to say, hands down, it was one of the best weddings I had ever been to! A's gown was beautiful, the bridesmaid's dress were gorgeous, the food was great and the band was rocking! It was so wonderful to see our family and we got to spend lots & lots of time w/ B&C. We were able to catch one of B's soccer games (he played great and scored 2 goals!). KJ had a blast on the 4-wheeler and totally tore up Pop's property and we had a great day walking around State College, shopping and being silly with the kids.

So, now the craziness really begins....Cosmo & I will be celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary, Britt's b-day, Cosmo's b-day, KJ's b-day and my mother's b-day. Lots of celebratory dinners and lots of cake!
