Back to School Blues
If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane asylums would be filled with mothers. ~Edgar W. Howe
I think this is how most of the Hoover mom's will feel next Thursday morning. Aaaahhh! Peace & Quiet. We've had a wonderful summer but I think everyone's ready to go back to school. Kendall slept until 10 AM this morning (on the couch of course; she won't sleep upstairs alone if T's not home). She needs to get back into a regular bedtime routine. I still have a few items on KJ's school supply list to pick up. Nothing major.
Grammie & Pop were supposed to come South for a visit this week. Pop has some medical issues that need to be taken care of so this may not be the best time for a long drive. The girls will be disappointed. We haven't seen grammie & pop since March.
We've got some lacrosse stuff going on this weekend (duh! what else is new in the Cos household??): Saturday Chris plays in a men's game (old-timers vs. newbies) and a party afterward. Sunday is Laxapalooza '07; a couple of Major League Lacrosse players are coming down to do some crazy stick tricks and a fastest shot contest and have lots of fun stuff for the kids.
Taylor is on her way to Tampa today. They were supposed to leave MGM Tuesday night and head over to Tampa when the park closed but they had so much fun in the park, they extended their hotel stay another night. This morning they are going to Downtown Disney for some last minute shopping. Taylor said they rode the Tower of Terror and the Aerosmith Roller Coaster TONS of times Tuesday. Ms. Laura saved Taylor a couple of dollars . . . when she purchased all the park tickets she told them Taylor was only 9 years old! Ha!
I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework. ~Lily Tomlin as "Edith Ann"
The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. ~Author Unknown
