Our Dog Buddy

Our dog Buddy is missing again. He's been gone since approximately 12:30 AM on New Year's Day. I let him out the backdoor before going to bed, watched him scamper down the stairs and that's the last we've seen of him. The kids were lighting off fireworks again and I think it just scared the crap out of him and he took off running. Fortunately, KJ spend the night at a friend's so she didn't know any of this was going on until she got home late yesterday afternoon. Chris & I drove our sub-division until 1:45 AM looking for him. Poor Chris couldn't sleep so he got up at 3 AM and walked around the woods w/ a flashlight. He came back home and slept for a little while but got back up at 7 AM and was out in the woods again. Yesterday T and a bunch of neighborhood kids knocked on doors, passed out flyers and rode their dirtbikes deep into the woods looking for Buddy.
I've distributed a flyer at the Hope Animal Clinic on Morgan Road and I've registered on-line at the Shelby & Jefferson County humane shelters. We have a Lost Dog sign at the entrance/exit of our sub-division and I've posted a sign on South Shades Crest Road hoping that as folks went back to work today they see it. I'm also going to take signs today to a couple of groomers in the area and some other Animal Clinic.

If you have seen Buddy or hear of anyone who found a lost dog, please let me know immediately. KJ is hysterical and the poor thing keeps going to the windows and doors looking for her little dog.

I'm so sad! I will pray that little buddy makes it home safely. I'm so sorry he is missing.
