Freshman Eve

I can NOT believe T is on the verge of becoming a high schooler. Technically she's going to be at the Freshman Center which is approximately 1/2 mile, 3/4 of a mile from the "senior campus." A high schooler nonetheless. Wow. I'm just at a loss for words. She's not taking a Zero period this year but I need to get her to school a little early tomorrow because she does not have her schedule yet. We had to make a change at registration so other than her dance team class first period, she doesn't know anything. Chris will drive KJ to elementary school and I'll drive T to the freshman center Thursday & Friday. The rest of the year, she's bus-sing it whether she likes it or not. I'm excited for her and all the wonderful things that go along w/ growing up (homecoming dances, football games, driver's licenses, etc.), at the same time I'm not looking forward to all the drama we've avoided all thru middle school. The fights w/ boyfriends, the fights w/ girlfriends, the fights w/ girlfriends over boys, the fights w/ her over boundaries and limits, fights over tattoos and body piercings, etc. Seriously. I am way too young and sassy for this nonsense!!!
